The first of its kind in Charlottenburg, Cell is an innovative and dynamic restaurant, offering an avent-garde and revolutionary dining experience by chef Evgeny Vikentev designed to stimulate all senses. The menus illustrate the chef’s creative and playful philosophy of melding culture and craft through his unconventional flavour combinations.

Cell fully encompasses the spirit of the Bauhaus movement in all its modernist form, championing both functionality and the aesthetic. The restaurant’s plush copper banquettes and soft nude colour pallets make for a warm inviting atmosphere while open, geometric ironwork surrounding each table, gives the illusion of a series of cells within cells allowing direct views into the kitchen. 

Wine list

The wine selection at Cell is designed by renowned sommelier Pascal Kunert and boasts a variety of over 400 wines from organic and biodynamic vineyards. Non-alcoholic drink pairings such as kombucha, water kefirs and organic juices are also available.

Simon Dienemann

Simon Dienemann is chef de cuisine at Cell. He previously worked as head chef at VAU and Tulus Lotrek. Beforehand functioning as sous chef by Tim Raue, where he perfected his skill set and dexterity. At CELL, he works closely with chef Evgeny to create exceptional taste experiences with a surrealistic touch.  

Peter Izarik

Peter Izarik is the restaurant manager of CELL. Formerly responsible for guest relation and management of the art-focussed restaurant Pauly Saal, he resembles everything CELL stands for: professionality, uniqueness and artistry.

EXCLUSIVE NEW YEAR'S EVE DINNER AT CELL RESTAURANT

A special NYE menu has been carefully selected by chef Evgeny Vikentev and his team. The nine-course menu will provide an ultimate journey through his modern intelligent cuisine. Chef Evgeny Vikentevs culinary fingerprint is to combine local tastes with global flavours. Each dish illustrating the chef’s creative and playful philosophy of flavour combinations, though retaining the ingredient’s integrity.

NYE is the time to fully indulge into a carefree evening. The dinner is accompanied with champagne and sparkling wine pairing, water as well as coffee and tea.

Menu is available for 350 EUR per person.

Time to finish of the year with a night to remember.

Evgeny Vikentev

Born and raised in St Peterburg, Evgeny is one of the rising stars of modern Russian gastronomy. By the age of 26 he had already worked in the kitchens of St. Petersburg's Il Palazzo, La Maree, Grato, EM and Volna and completed stagiaires at restaurants including 41°C, alongside Albert Adria and Il Vescovado with Giuseppe Richebono.

He is the Head Development chef of restaurant Wine rack, as well as the chef and co-owner of restaurant, Hamlet + Jacks. Cell is Evgeny’s first international restaurant opening outside of St. Petersburg and is located on Uhlandstraße 172 in Charlottenburg - one of Berlin's most vibrant and diverse districts.

Berlin has always nurtured the ideal environment in which to question the status quo, whether its social, economic or artistic. Through his dishes, Evgeny is playing his part in this, by offering a series of menus which are not restrained by artistic geographic borders. 

Pascal Kunert

Head sommelier Pascal Kunert is known as a distinguished expert in the wine scene. Formerly working for gourmet restaurants like La Vie and Reinstoff, he is now taking care of the hand-picked selection of wines available at Cell. His mission is to round up the whole experience by offering wines which complement the culinary style of chef Evgeny.
